Myanmar’s junta government announced that Aung San Suu Kyi, 80 years old, is under home detention due to “Buddha Day” and “humanitarian concerns.” Following the coup, she had been in solitary confinement for two years, but now, her detention will end in the form of house arrest at an appointed address. Although her image alongside officials appeared in state media after two years, there is much speculation regarding her health and reasons behind this surprising move.
